| 5-1-2004 Upcoming Interview: We've will be interviewed live on WSOU Monday, May 3rd around 10pm. |
| 4-18-2004 Radio Airplay: We've been getting some airplay on WSOU. |
| 2-2-2004 Spreading out: We'll we've been playing enough NJ shows lately that we're absolutely itching to get out of the state again. We've begun booking shows in PA and NY and will shortly be looking to do a mini tour. |
| 11-11-2003 Amp troubles: I love my amp - Marshall Major - 200 watts of ear-splitting goodness. In practice recently - I guess we we're playing particulaly loudly - not only did the fuse blow, but it completely shattered the glass. So now there's broken glass all inside my amp. Scott didn't help things by trying to pick out some pieces with a screwdriver. The amp was unplugged, but I guess the amp still had some stored up energy - enough energy to blow him halfway across the room. Ever since, the amp (and Scott too maybe) have been acting flakey. |
| 05-12-2003 Dress Rehearsal: We've gotten some good new songs, representing our new focus more on straigh-ahead rock and less on rambling stoner. We're still playing some of our older songs as well. So we've begun booking shows again. Our first show is at the Brighton in a few weeks. |
| 11-21-2002 Bands Reunited: Wow - that midwest stint didn't last too long. Whether it was the relentless calling of the NJ Turnpike cogeneration plants, or the allure of population density, we've all found ourselves back in NJ. So of course practicing has immediately resumed. Rustiness = 4/10 Mental note: keep future songs simple. After we're confident that we've completely remembered our songs, and have written a few new ones, we'll be back in the clubs. |
| 04-21-2002 Midwest: Half the band moving to the midwest for various reasons. Don't pack those amps away yet, though. |
| 09-24-2001 Preparation
for the Studio: We are hitting the studio again. This time we are recording at Word of Mouth Studios with Charlie Schaffer. We had good fortune with him when we recorded some Six Sigma songs back in early 2000, so we thought we'd try there again. We have decided on the 5 1/2 songs we will record. We're still not sure what we're gonna do with the songs when we're done recording. |
| 09-18-2001 Scene Killer: Got some copies of the Scene Killer album today from Meteorcity. The album is a compilation of work from NJ stoner bands from the late '90s, including Core, Solarized, Drag Pack, and Solace. It was cool to hear Drag Pack songs from yesteryear finally get released. "Psychic Down" was one of the Drag Pack songs, and was the last song we recorded. It was one of our best, as we had finally learned how to play our instruments at that point. |
| 05-10-2001 Mid-Hibernation
Blues: Now that spring is upon us, we've blown the dust off our amps and re-geared for the new season. We have begun work on our next album. When will it be released? Who will release/distribute it? We're not sure yet, but we do know there will be 1 or 2 nice surprises revealed in the upcoming months. *wink wink* Stay tuned. |

| 11-15-2000 The Spirit Is Gone
EP news update: The album has been out a little over a month now and is selling well. Our first shipment to Undersdogma Records has already sold out, but a new shipment is on its way. Thanks for the overwhelmingly positive response! |
| 09-25-2000 Throttlerod kicking
our ass (but it feels good): Well we've played 2 shows with Throttlerod this week...and damn they're good. You should really do yourself a favor and check them out when they come to your town. Meanwhile, I'm gonna lock myself in my room, practice guitar, and cry myself to sleep. Rock'n'roll! |
| 09-25-2000 "The Spirit is
Gone" EP finally in our hands: Six months in the making, The Spirit Is Gone EP is finally available. Catch us at one of our shows, or email me to get your copy. It looks & sounds good...trust me, I've never lied to you. Thanks for everyone who's written asking for any updates we can give about the album. |
| 08-26-2000 "The Spirit is
Gone" EP: Release date is expected to be September 22nd, which is our first show with Throttlerod, at the Brighton Bar. |
| 08-07-2000 A miracle in the art of booking:
Any time a band can convince a string of clubs across the US to let them play for any amount of cash...well it's an amazing thing. Convincing them to book TWO relatively unknown bands...well that requires divine intervention from the collective rock pantheon. Throttlerod has done just that, booking a series of shows for the two of us. Thanks guys. |
| 08-07-2000 Four month later, and finally
album progress: After a few months of no progress and answering many emails saying "uh...we're still working on it..", we finally have been motivated enough to release our first album. Etherdrag records will release 500 copies, with artwork by Chris Timms. We're all very excited. We hope to have the album out by the time we play the Brighton Bar on September 22nd. Cross your fingers. |

Various Crap : As of May 18th, we are completely done recording/mixing/mastering the album. We've got our "in-house artist" working on some cool stuff. We're all pretty damn satisfied. Now we're trying to decide what to do with it. (1) Release it ourselves. (2) Have a label release it. (3) Throw it in the closet and focus on our day jobs. Only time will tell. I had a chance to work with Jim Hogan this month, putting down the vocals for a song on the soon?-to-be-released Scene Killers compilation album. It was cool cause the music I was putting the vocals to was originally done by me and the other Drag Pack guys about a year ago--the song was really one of the last Drag Pack tunes. A nice finishing touch to the famed Drag Pack era. Back to Six Sigma...now that the album is all but done, we're working on a load of new songs. The general shift is more jazzy, more funky--I've taken to stealing Alman Brothers' leads. The last show we played was a thinly veiled clan rally. It almost ended in riot. I scurried to get my equipment into the van. Halfway through the set, people comandeered the mike from me...they thought they were better singers than me...I think I agree. Happy Memorial Day. |

EP (well now it's a full-length) is finished!: Scott and Doug finished up the vocals and mixing of what has turned out to be a 40+ minute album. A confused Doug stated: "This is the best rock album since Jesus!" Now they've turned their attention to coverart. Scott promises that it will be "sexy...easily pimpable..." |

Song list for EP: The songs on the upcoming (still untitled) EP are as follows: 1. Dropping Anchor 2. Magic Flaw 3. The Spirit Is Gone 4. The Problem/Cursed 100 Baby/Fa'reek'out It's only four songs, but song 4 clocks in at about 20 minutes. The whole album is 40+ minutes. |

Recording for the EP continues (slowly): Today vocals were recorded for all songs. The album still needs to be mixed...and then its off to the printers. |
